Doubles Clinic

Doubles Clinic- Saturday December 15th at the Jennings Elementary School Courts

This clinic we will be working doubles strategy and how to cover the variety of shots that your opponent hits (drop shots, short balls, lobs) with drills that emphasize doubles.

We will also be working on second serves and overheads.

9:00am – 10:30am 2.5-3.0 Adult Clinic -$35 (limit 5 players)

10:30am-12:00pm - 3.5 Adult Clinic-$35(limit 5 players)

12:00pm-1:30pm - 4.0 Adult Clinic-$35(limit 5 players)

Junior Clinic:

1:30-2:30pm - $25

Don't Forget These Dates

Fall Party will be November 19 @ 6:00 @ the Country Club.  Please bring a dish to share and your tennis racquet if you'd like to play!   We have several announcements and door prizes!

Winter Tennis League signup will end on January 7.  We will have a mandatory meeting and a drawing for partners on January 14.  Play will begin January 28.

Looking ahead, we are planning to have a tournament March 8, 2013.  We will need several volunteers, sponsors and players too!  Please save the date!

Makin' Racquet

The 2.5/3.0 Combo Team Makin' Racquet is participating in the USTA State Tennis Tournament this weekend.    Missing from photo is Geneva & Kim L.  Good Luck Ladies!

Rainout Nov 5

Yesterday's matches were rained out!  We will allow matches to be made up until Tuesday, November 14.  If you cannot play the match before then, please contact Aimee, as Brittney is out of town.  If you were scheduled to play at JHS, Aimee has the key for the lights and we can arrange to turn them on if needed, but ask that you try to play on another court if at all possible.  Please remember that if you split sets, you must play a third set (not a tiebreaker).  Have fun on your last week of play!

Fall Party Plans

We are planning to have our Fall Party November 19 at the Country Club.  All matches need to be finished before November 12!  Please bring your favorite dish to share and play some tennis if you'd like!  We will give prizes to the first and second place teams!  We hope everyone can make it!

The JLTL 3.0 ladies gathered at the JHS courts to play a few quick round robins and let everyone get used to their new partners.  It sure seems like it will be a competitive season!
